- A consultation with a surgeon, followed by a full medical examination, and then a date can be set for the operation. If, the first consultation bring any concerns about the surgery to staff, another consultation can be arranged.
- For about one month before the eyelid operation, you shouldn't use any medications containing acetylsalicyclic acid (such as Acylpyrin, Aspirin, Alnogon, Mironal, etc.). It can increase bleeding during and after eyelid surgery as it thins the blood.
- It is assumed that no acute illnesses occurred in the period of at least three weeks before the planned operation (viral illness, cold, etc.). Report any and all illnesses to the clinic.
- Drink 2 to 3 litres of mineral water three days before the operation, however, 8 hours before the operation do not drink, eat, or smoke.
- Have a long night's sleep the night before the eyelid surgery operation; No alcohol should not be drank the night before the operation.
- Do not put any facial cream, milk or make-up the day before the operation but Wash your hair on the day of the operation. Any jewellery, including earrings, should not be worn.

Your Eyelids will swell and bruse under the eyes which is common post-operative syndromes. Resting and careful cold compresses, applied on eyelids with pressure, are recommended for the 14 days. Stitches will be removed on the 4th to 6th day after the eyelid operation.
After 14 days, the patient can apply makeup/cosmetics, and return to physical activities after 3 to 4 weeks. We do strongly recommend avoiding direct contact with sun light. Patients should wear sun-protective creams, sunglasses and hats for 6 to 9 weeks.
